You are an idealist, and often, you will set yourself goals that are what might be termed astronomically high. While that’s inspiring, it is also overwhelming. There is something to be said for setting your goals very low and achieving a lot of them.
Experience proves the high cost of compromise, while caution always pays off
You are probably aware that, as a Virgo, you’re a bit of a perfectionist, and can also be impatient, which means that you line up very specific goals, and then want things to happen right away.
The funny thing is, often they do, which proves that if you are demanding enough of yourself and of the world, then that will occur. But it also means that, first, you don’t have much fun, and second, you can miss out on the things you will learn about, the people you’ll encounter, and in fact the exciting developments that come because of mistakes, because you’ve gone in entirely the wrong direction. And, at the same time, you’ll have learned a lot and maybe met some very interesting people.
In fact, it is those adventures that a very precise Virgo often misses simply because you’re so busy getting things right. This isn’t just about life or places you go; it has to do with the people you hang out with and who you care about. It may well be that if you’re a little more laid-back, you’ll find it easier to get along with family members, and equally, you’ll find you have more fun with those closest.
In fact, if you are a little more easygoing, you might even get a lot more pleasure from what the days in your life, and the companions in your life, have to offer.
Simply deciding that life is going to have joy in it, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, may seem pretty radical. But if you begin talking about it with those closest to you, they might join in and, in fact, you might find yourselves all having a wonderful time.
The idea of seeking fun when you’re having a workout, whether it is running or being at the gym, may seem strange, but it is possible to do. It is possible, in fact, to turn taking care of yourself into a party. That’s the secret.
You are an idealist, and often, you will set yourself goals that are what might be termed astronomically high. While that’s inspiring, it is also overwhelming. There is something to be said for setting your goals very low and achieving a lot of them.
There is a difference between things going wonderfully, which they will be over the coming weeks, and events being what you’d planned. Ironically, what is least expected could turn out best in the long run. Knowing that, explore absolutely every idea and offer that comes your way. You won’t regret it.
Virgo: AUGUST 22 – SEPTEMBER 21
Ruler: Mercury
Symbol: The Maiden
Element: Earth
Flower: Buttercup
As a Virgo, you combine an earthy sensuality with the sharp cleverness of your ruler, Mercury. The pleasure you derive in beauty, nature, living, and eating well is genuine, yet being the sign of early fall, you have an instinctive awareness of the wise use of resources. Your flower is forget-me-not; your spice, redolent cardamom; and the mighty oak and the hazel are your trees. Your jewels have earthy colors, from topaz to sardonyx.
