Sun Sign: Sagittarius/Jupiter
Decanate: Sagittarius/Sun; Numbers: 2, 8
It's a rare Sagittarius who suffers greatly from envy, usually dismissed by their noble nature. Unfortunately December 17 has a life-long battle which results in some people judging this creature as two-faced, because one side of them is generous and nice, and the other is not. It's down to that streak of self-doubt in the psycheology that many Decemberites suffer from.
Both sexes are massively competitive and often can't cope with a rival's success or even a friend's. The men just can't bring themselves to congratulate even a close buddy if he makes lots of money, or has any startling leg up in studies or career. Jokingly they try to touch their friend for money or advancement. But it's only half a joke, because deep down they feel they're owed a favour, which causes resentment. But less than gracious December 17 in this kind of mood just can't see it.
If either sex loses a job, when a friend rings to comfort them and show solidarity, December 17 people can't stop themselves from suggesting that the friend's job also isn't safe. They may say, ‘Naturally you know that so and so has been moved into that job to unseat you. I just thought you should be warned.' And when someone has been offered a big job, what's December 17's reaction? Why, the instant response is, ‘Oh they tried to recruit me for that.' Naturally they regret it, thank goodness, because this is December 17's saving grace. Much of the time they strive and succeed to allow others their pleasure. It's just that many have that uncomfortable feeling that they're not where the excitement is.
The good side to December 17 makes them marvellous mentors, giving time and energy to young talent, both at work and outside it in clubs and acting or theatre groups. The bad side makes them resent the pupil who becomes more successful than they've ever been and who wants to break away and become independent.
Like most archers, you require a great deal of personal freedom. However, unlike some, you can remain loyal and devoted to the significant other who truly understands the ins and outs of your freewheeling nature. In a committed intimate alliance, you are steadfast and sincere. Still, you need to retain a certain amount of independence in order to pursue your own interests. Work is extremely important to you, and you’ll resist any attempt to interfere with your quest for success and recognition. Love and companionship are also important to you, but you put intellectual rapport ahead of romance or sentiment.
Your bedroom approach is full of enigmatic contradictions. Outwardly cool and rather reserved, you may try to hide your smoldering inner passions until you feel truly comfortable with your bedmate. Getting past your protective armor can take time, but once your defenses are breached, your lusty libido comes to the fore. What begins as a small spark swiftly escalates into a raging wildfire. Moreover, once you get started, you have the stamina to keep going throughout the night.
Some December 17s suffer from water retention, a problem as old as time, particularly for women. There are various teas on the market in health food stores which can help. Try to cut down on salt which makes the body retain water, and alcohol which acts as a diuretic at first, but then encourages fluid retention. Celery and watermelon juice are believed to improve the condition. Juice a 20cm section of fresh celery with a quarter of a small watermelon, seeds removed. The juice is said to flush toxins, promote urination and increase vitality. Citrus fruits are thought to help some sufferers.
An erotic, aromatic massage renews your bond with your lover as it mellows you into relaxed sensuality. Enticing kisses and teasing caresses awaken your sexual appetite by connecting you to your innate physicality. In your bedroom sanctuary, a patient lover with slow, seductive maneuvers can draw out all your hidden passion and secret desires.

You are an enormously persuasive speaker. With your silver-tongued patter, you can talk just about anyone into just about anything. If you have a fault it is that you are too frank and outspoken. You always say exactly what you are thinking, even if it hurts another’s feelings. Yet you can be quite touchy when someone points out your own shortcomings.
