Everybody lists their goals and most of them also note their challenges, but the trickiest bit is to embrace those challenges with enthusiasm, knowing that each has come your way to teach you something. And the more enthusiastically you embrace them, the more swiftly you’ll learn those lessons.
Plans based on experience chain you to the past. Create each day anew
While you are probably aware that your symbol is the Capricorn goat, you may have seen another—not just the goat, but a creature that is half goat, half fish.
This is one of the most ancient of astrological symbols and dates back to Babylonia, thousands of years ago, yet it is still sometimes used today. The fact that it combines these two creatures reflects an intriguing combination in your character.
While you’re best known for the practical, earthy goat side, the fish incorporates the more intuitive, flexible part of your nature. This is intriguing because while it survives very well on land, it can move into the sea and swim through the tides of life. If you think about this when you’re facing difficulties, instead of trying to figure everything out as an earth sign would, you may begin to rely on your intuition more.
It’s balancing the fundamental toughness of Capricorn with the sensitivity that you may not realize or may even have regarded as weak. The trick to all of this, of course, is to embrace both parts of your nature and to realize that each has a powerful role. The more you understand each part, the more you will be able to take advantage of it and the more you will be able to enjoy who you are and the person you’re becoming day by day.
You may not think of it this way, but sometimes you feel that you need to help others and that you’re there to inspire them. That’s true. But there are other times when actually they inspire you. What may be most important, however, is those close ties with family, who are always who they are for you every day.
While as a Capricorn, you enjoy a challenge, including a physical challenge, it is worth noting that gentle movements are as important as those that are challenging and you may even learn more about your body and yourself if you take a gentler approach.
Everybody lists their goals and most of them also note their challenges, but the trickiest bit is to embrace those challenges with enthusiasm, knowing that each has come your way to teach you something. And the more enthusiastically you embrace them, the more swiftly you’ll learn those lessons.
By no means are you stubborn, yet you are very attached to certain arrangements, mostly because they’ve been part of your life for a long time and you rather like the challenges they introduce. Still, these really must come to an end. If you’re looking for new challenges, you can expect them soon.
Capricorn: DECEMBER 21 – JANUARY 19
Ruler: Saturn
Symbol: The Goat
Element: Earth
Flower: Pansy
As a practical earth sign, whose symbol is the horned goat, you can achieve the impossible, in the form of ascending a mountain, or attaining an ambition. Being ruled by hardy Saturn, you’re discreet about your many kindnesses, but glory in your tough exterior. Your flower is the pansy; your plants are hemp and ivy; your trees, elm and yew. Your stones are symbolic of winter’s dark days—black pearls, black diamonds, and jet.
