Thinking about what you intend to do is one thing, but it’s essential you write goals down. Not so much so you can achieve them in a metaphysical way, but so you can read what you wrote down a week later and revise those goals. Then continue to revise them as you broaden your goals and your horizons.
I will admit familiar habits are holding me back—then I will change them
Most Aquarians are sociable by nature. People fascinate you, and often simply observing them will keep you interested for hours. However, being on your own is quite another matter, and as much as you enjoy your own company, actually facing life without family nearby, a companion, or even roommates can be a challenge for you.
Yet it also gives you a chance to think. As an air sign and somebody who thrives on bouncing ideas off of others, often you will learn most from those around you, or so it will seem. But it isn’t until you’re able to sit and reflect on those insights that you will gain clarity about where they’re taking you. This is an important thing to be aware of, because as somebody who is one of the four fixed signs of the zodiac—Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, the signs in the middle of each season—you can settle into a routine. That may be reassuring, but it also prevents you from sticking your head up above the parapet and looking around to see what’s out there.
Ideally there will be certain individuals in your life who don’t just encourage you to explore but challenge you to do new things, to break patterns, to break habits that seem reassuring yet have actually become a bit of a trap. For you as an Aquarius, those individuals are more precious than diamonds.
It is easiest to stick with the familiar. Sticking with those who encourage you to break habits won’t be quite as easy, but they are the ones who will turn your life into a journey of growth, joy, and discovery.
Your theme is discovery. And as you know, as an Aquarius and an air sign, you can either forget to eat or stick with pretty much the same menu, even for weeks on end. Yet at the same time, you love to discover—you thrive on new experiences. It is essential that some of those discoveries have to do with your daily routine.
Thinking about what you intend to do is one thing, but it’s essential you write goals down. Not so much so you can achieve them in a metaphysical way, but so you can read what you wrote down a week later and revise those goals. Then continue to revise them as you broaden your goals and your horizons.
It isn’t that you mind others making decisions in situations that involve you. Actually, often it is a relief. However, you prefer to take part in discussions, mostly because others lack your knack for telling those around you what’s up. While this is tricky, you’ll soon find a way to deal with those problems.
Aquarius: JANUARY 20 – FEBRUARY 18
Ruler: Uranus
Symbol: The Water Bearer
Element: Air
Flower: Orchid
One of the few human zodiac symbols, Aquarius is the water bearer, the third of the clever air signs. While ruled by Saturn for most of history, when the first planet to be discovered in modern times, Uranus, was spotted in 1781, you acquired a new, edgy ruler. Your flower is an orchid, your spice is chili, and your tree is all those bearing fruit. Not surprisingly, your stone is the aquamarine.
