Try setting up temporary goals and seeing what happens. This is totally out of character for you as a Capricorn, but if you want to learn something quickly, it is better to plunge in first, see what happens, and then study your reaction later.
Sticking with the familiar seems wise but means bypassing unexpected offers
Many think of life as being a duty, something that’s easier to deal with if you organize your tasks or obligations. Those come first.
Once you have figured them out, you can turn your attention to life’s joys, activities that lift your spirits, and the people who bring light to your day.
However, you have a tendency to think that those joys need to be earned, mostly by getting things done. That may seem normal to you, but it’s a little like saying breathing is earned. The fact is that creating a balance between duty and joy in life is important, but it’s like that in every element of life.
Many parents encourage their children first to behave, and then to be dutiful. Often, however, they make having fun a bonus, added for good behavior. The secret is to begin to rewrite that script, to untangle the notion that joy and fun itself must be earned.
Instead, make those duties fun, and in the process you can incorporate what you need to do for others. This means rethinking things entirely, but then that is the whole core of it.
It means that you will spend more time doing what you love, with those you love, simply because together, you’ll be rewriting what might be termed the script for life and its joys, and making those joys the most constructive portion of your life.
There is a great deal of importance put on being loyal. While that’s essential, there is another element. If you can combine being kind—that is, helping others or ensuring their needs are taken care of—along with being loyal, it’s even better. And if you can combine being loyal and being kind with partying, then life is as it should be.
There is something called the deprivation culture—that is, depriving yourself, or having been deprived, is seen as something good, that a tough regimen strengthens you. It is a bit of a Capricorn thing, but there’s an even stronger kind of regimen that you can embrace and that is a regimen called loving and being loved.
Try setting up temporary goals and seeing what happens. This is totally out of character for you as a Capricorn, but if you want to learn something quickly, it is better to plunge in first, see what happens, and then study your reaction later.
It is out of character for you to leave decisions up to others when they really should be yours to make. Yet you’re tempted. This is partly because you have so much to do, but also a certain individual seems convinced they know more about it than you do. They don’t. These matters are your responsibility.
Capricorn: DECEMBER 21 – JANUARY 19
Ruler: Saturn
Symbol: The Goat
Element: Earth
Flower: Pansy
As a practical earth sign, whose symbol is the horned goat, you can achieve the impossible, in the form of ascending a mountain, or attaining an ambition. Being ruled by hardy Saturn, you’re discreet about your many kindnesses, but glory in your tough exterior. Your flower is the pansy; your plants are hemp and ivy; your trees, elm and yew. Your stones are symbolic of winter’s dark days—black pearls, black diamonds, and jet.
