Every once in a while, when you’re working at something—and, as a Capricorn, you’re usually working at several things—you will be asked how near you are to achieving that goal. The real question is, how can you measure it as you change and goals change? How much joy are you gaining from the process?
Setting aside pressing tasks to support others benefits me as much as them
For you, as a Capricorn, and somebody ruled by the planet of achievement, Saturn—which is known for the focus it brings but, also, its stern nature—you sometimes struggle with the feeling that, somehow, you should have done more or worked harder. But, if you view the actual situations in question logically, you realize you’ve done all you can, or need to.
Catching this isn’t easy, because it’s like an automatic recording, one that plays when you have finally dealt with your list of tasks and obligations. The trick is to recognize that these are only ideas—or even worrying questions—and not about your own life or the world around you. The challenge? First pause and look at what you’ve done. Then, if you still have doubts, ask those you trust to discuss your concerns with you.
Your ruler, Saturn, is not only the planet of focus and achievement, but also accents doubts of this nature. Recognize that while Saturn can be a tough planet, it also is about being able to spot and enjoy the cycles of nature, and you will recognize that there are times when life is meant to be still, there are times when you are meant to learn things, and there are times that are about celebrating what you’ve achieved.
Embrace this cycle—and everything else will make complete sense.
Finding balance in life’s changes is tough for anybody—it’s like walking a tightrope. Yet everybody’s life does change. The challenge for you is that you tend to want to control those changes and undertake them according to your own schedule, which, as a logical Capricorn, you realize simply isn’t going to happen.
Fitness is a very good idea. For you as an earth sign, however, well-being is even more important. That is, being able to enjoy yourself, who you are, and what you’re doing, simply because you are who you are. Make that your priority, and the rest will fall into place.
Every once in a while, when you’re working at something—and, as a Capricorn, you’re usually working at several things—you will be asked how near you are to achieving that goal. The real question is, how can you measure it as you change and goals change? How much joy are you gaining from the process?
There’s a fine line between sticking stubbornly to long-standing, possibly out-of-date habits or beliefs and giving in to the rather pushy attitude of others. While you’d probably be willing to consider changes, you’d rather do it when and how you want. Explain this to others; they may well back off.
Capricorn: DECEMBER 21 – JANUARY 19
Ruler: Saturn
Symbol: The Goat
Element: Earth
Flower: Pansy
As a practical earth sign, whose symbol is the horned goat, you can achieve the impossible, in the form of ascending a mountain, or attaining an ambition. Being ruled by hardy Saturn, you’re discreet about your many kindnesses, but glory in your tough exterior. Your flower is the pansy; your plants are hemp and ivy; your trees, elm and yew. Your stones are symbolic of winter’s dark days—black pearls, black diamonds, and jet.
