The question is: Are all goals worldly? From a Capricorn point of view, as an earth sign, you might think that. Yet every Capricorn who has lived long enough to know that achieving certain goals gives you only so much is aware that there are other varieties of achievement, and they have very little to do with the outer world.
I can challenge myself to face obstacles solo, or I can accept offers of support
Most Capricorns are list-makers, and those lists always contain small goals and big goals and often, in fact, your dreams.
While you can achieve those goals, one by one, life ensures you have a list against which you can measure your success. Yet the fact is that, however many of those goals you achieve, the thing you’re looking for isn’t on that piece of paper. And it isn’t in your thoughts either. It could be said to be seated in your heart, and it is actually what might be termed the joy of achievement.
Achievement can have to do with those goals that you have in mind and with the acknowledgment of using your skills. But at the same time, it can have to do with you personally. It can have to do with simply being who you are, or being loved by another, or giving love to another, or simply pausing to observe, and rejoice in, the majesty of nature.
Those components are the most important. So when you make that list of those goals, bear that in mind. And, as you live out each day, take a few minutes to experience that joy—the joy in nature, the joy in being yourself and knowing what you personally are offering to the world around you—and to life itself.
Many Capricorns feel they’re responsible for supporting, or being an example to, others—whether to family, to friends, or to colleagues. And while often you will inspire people, the question is: Is that your duty? It’s something for you to decide, but you may actually find it is somewhat more of a spiritual calling.
Being fit is fantastic, but if you’re joyless, then it doesn’t make too much sense. Because fitness includes your inner world, and that’s not so much about moving your body or your muscles as putting yourself in a frame of mind that allows you to experience inner peace 24/7.

Yet every Capricorn who has lived long enough to know that achieving certain goals gives you only so much is aware that there are other varieties of achievement, and they have very little to do with the outer world.
It would be easy to make the mistake of assuming that, when somebody ignored serious issues you raised, they didn’t want to discuss them. Actually, the individual in question has been distracted, and may not even have understood what you were saying. Raise it again, and the sooner, the better.
Capricorn: DECEMBER 21 – JANUARY 19
Ruler: Saturn
Symbol: The Goat
Element: Earth
Flower: Pansy
As a practical earth sign, whose symbol is the horned goat, you can achieve the impossible, in the form of ascending a mountain, or attaining an ambition. Being ruled by hardy Saturn, you’re discreet about your many kindnesses, but glory in your tough exterior. Your flower is the pansy; your plants are hemp and ivy; your trees, elm and yew. Your stones are symbolic of winter’s dark days—black pearls, black diamonds, and jet.
