Your initial instinct when there’s something to talk about is to pause and reflect and figure out what you need to say. The trick is to recognize that those around you are also on what might be termed a journey, and they, too, are figuring things out. If you spent too much time on the thought, you might miss benefiting from what they have to say. What’s more, by asking others what they are thinking about and what they’re learning, you will all broaden your horizons. This process of discussion is an important one, because it also allows you to remove the burden from your shoulders to figure things out.

It’s not something you figure out on a single day, but it is a skill that you develop over time: a skill that, as each day passes, you become better at; and a skill that allows you to enjoy what life offers all the more.
