Setting small goals may seem to be awfully modest, but as you do, and as you achieve them, you will realize how wise it is. Because then you will have much more to celebrate, and each goal you achieve will help you shape the next ones.
Accepting that somebody doesn’t care they cause problems isn’t easy, but brings peace
You don’t normally think of it, but when you are making plans—whether they are entirely social plans, something that has to do with your job, if you go to one, or family matters, or when you’re organizing things—you will focus on practicalities. In fact, it is a pleasure for you, and you are good at it.
However, as you discover, the more people who are involved in those plans, the more ideas there are, and the more your vision of what’s possible—and even more, what is best—can be watered down by their ideas. Tempting as it is to encourage others to do what you know is best, instead do something that is very difficult for you—stand back and listen to what they have to say, perhaps even go along with it.
This is something you’ll have experienced in the past, and will again in the future. Except when you’re ready to embrace the fact that it is not so much that others know better, but they may have an idea that works better in that situation, then you will be more relaxed about letting them take over.
This also means that perhaps you will have free time to pursue what is more important for you on your own, or with those whose approach is more suited to you, and that is the big lesson in this: to allow others to take over, and then to go off and do what you enjoy.
Frequently you inspire others, but sometimes they also inspire you, which can be a bit of a surprise for you, because often you know your thinking is clearer. However, the special thing that others have is a variety of hope that you occasionally find hard to achieve.
While your well-being has a lot to do with your physical body, and even your mood, another thing that is important is your sense of hope about the future, and that is something that can’t be rushed. It needs to be developed slowly, kind of like doing exercise. The more you dwell on it, the more you’ll benefit from it.
Setting small goals may seem to be awfully modest, but as you do, and as you achieve them, you will realize how wise it is. Because then you will have much more to celebrate, and each goal you achieve will help you shape the next ones.
Sudden changes are unsettling, and could upset others. Still, there is no question these are in everybody’s best interest. Knowing that, discuss recent developments, not with the objective of keeping everybody happy, but rather with the intention of defusing issues before they turn into problems.
Virgo: AUGUST 22 – SEPTEMBER 21
Ruler: Mercury
Symbol: The Maiden
Element: Earth
Flower: Buttercup
As a Virgo, you combine an earthy sensuality with the sharp cleverness of your ruler, Mercury. The pleasure you derive in beauty, nature, living, and eating well is genuine, yet being the sign of early fall, you have an instinctive awareness of the wise use of resources. Your flower is forget-me-not; your spice, redolent cardamom; and the mighty oak and the hazel are your trees. Your jewels have earthy colors, from topaz to sardonyx.
